Cania was just 5 years old when her father carried her into the hospital on April 29, 2005. She weighed a mere 6.3 kgs (13.9 lbs) and measured just 87 cm (2'10"). She also had untreated tuberculosis.
Now Cania is a much healthier 8.9 kgs (19.6 lbs) and measures 92 cm (3'0"). Despite her excellent progress she is still unable to walk or sit up properly. She is receiving physiotherapy and will remain on our feeding program for at least another six months. You can see just how much she has improved in these pictures taken on September 28, 2005.
